Biggest shark ever

The biggest shark ever lived was "Megalodon". Lived up to 1.5 million years ago. These sharks were the real monsters, compared with them, great white sharks are as aquarium fish.
It is assumed that they were up to 25 meters long (82 ft), and were weight up to 50 tons. This is of course assessment, because the only bone in the shark body are teeth. This tooth has a slant height of 7.37 inch (18.73 cm) and a root width of 5.5 inch (13.97 cm). Jaws of this sharks were so large that could fit a grown man.
Scientists still lead the debate on these sharks. Some believe that is still hiding in the dark depths of the ocean, others believe that they extinct, and third, that they are actually great white sharks that have adapted the new situation.
To show you how big these sharks rely was, on picture you can see fossilized tooth of this shark.

Aquatic animals have no neck

Perhaps you did not know and neither noticed, that none of aquatic animals has no neck, but directly from the head goes the body, except mammals, in which the neck is so small, that will probably disappear in the future (this applies only to animals that never come to land).
This is because aquatic animals don't need neck, because it is much simpler and more efficient to turn the whole body. Unlike terrestrial animals, aquatic animals have a much more flexible skeleton or have no skeleton, which makes them much maneuverable and faster in water.

Difference between aquatic mammals and fish

One of the main differences between fish and aquatic mammals is: fish have vertical tail, while mammals have horizontal tail. Both tail are very efficient, fish tail is a good speed and maneuvering, while the tail of mammals gives more power, which allowed mammals to grow larger than fish, such as the whales, the largest animals that ever lived.

Worlds biggest cat

Worlds biggest cat
that ever lived were called "smilodon".
These were the saber teeth cats that are dead out with last ice age, 10,000 years ago. They were weight between 250 and 360 kg (550-790 lb). It was 1.2 m (47 in) tall, 2.1 m (83 in) long, Its upper canines reached 28 cm (11 in) and protruded up to 17 cm (6.7 in) out of the lower jaw.

Today, the largest cats are "Siberian tigers". Males can weight up to 320 kg (700 lb), The male with largely assured references was 350 cm (138 in) "over curves" (3,30 m/130 in. between pegs) in total length. The largest tiger ever was male shot in the Sikhote-Alin Mountains in 1950 weighing 384.8 kg (846.6 lb) and measuring 3.48 m (11.5 ft). Unfortunately, this cat is on the verge of extinction, excessive catching, for fur and for traditional Chinese medicine, led to the fact that today only a few thousand left in the wild, and western parts of Siberia was completely extinguished.

Today, the largest single cat is a "Liger", it means that his father was a lion and mother was a tiger. It weight almost 450 kg (900 lb), and is 12 feet long. It can eat up to 50 kg (100 lb) in one meal, since this kind occurred in a zoo or a reserve only, feed them every day, and eat only 10 kg (20 lb) per day. Valley of the Kings animal sanctuary in Wisconsin had a male liger named Nook who weighed around 550 kg (1.213 lb), and died in 2007 at 21 years old, it was the largest cat ever confirmed.

It is interesting that if father is a lion and mother is a tiger, then the offspring are called "Liger", and offspring's are giants as these are above. But if father is tiger and mother lioness, then the offspring are called "Tal", and they are dwarfs.

Middle ages military technologu

The main innovation in terms of military technology in the early middle ages was the stirrup. From 100 to 500, there was a seemingly never-ending wave of nomad Horsemen armed with swords, spears, and bows coming out of the Central Asian steppe. The Archers would fire volley after volley into the foot troops. Then, when the Defenders seemed suitably weakened, mounted lancers would charge in. With the aid of the stirrup, the shock effect of these horse lancers was nearly irresistible. Germanic and other European Tribes adopted these Oriental techniques, and out of this came not only the destruction of the Western Roman Empire, but also the development of a mounted, armored "man-at-arms." This included the legendary "knight in shining armor," but most of these men were simply well-trained and experienced swords for hire.
