Mathematics is worth it
A woman with a PhD in math won the scratch lottery four times by figuring out the algorithm of the ticket production. First, she won $5.4 million, then a decade later, she won $2million, then two years later $3million and in the summer of 2010, she hit a $10million jackpot. The odds of this has been calculated at one in eighteen septillion and luck like this could only come once every quadrillion years.

What politics realy means
The word "politics" describes the process so well: "Poli" in Latin meaning "many" and "tics" meaning "bloodsucking creatures."

The average person spends in the life of 49 days, 13 hours and 41 minutes of lovemaking
The average person spends in the life of 49 days, 13 hours and 41 minutes of lovemaking.
Men "spent" on sex 52 days and 8 minutes of life, and the ladies a little behind - those in love-spend 47 days, 3 hours and 36 minutes. Sexual intercourse takes an average of 19.5 minutes, but ten percent of respondents said that games in bed last longer than half an hour, while a little less than ten per cent admitted to a hot party is over in less than five minutes.

Facts about blue whales
This is the largest collection interesting facts about blue whales. What's the largest animal ever to inhabit the earth. The dinosaurs? Nope - it's actually the blue whale. If you know this, either you've been paying attention at elementary school or you're an avid naturalist.
The blue whale is big. Phenomenally big: it's almost the size of a space shuttle orbiter, or if you don't know how big that is, just go to your local basketball court. The blue whale is longer than it. They're also mysterious: despite their size, blue whales are so rare that even experts know little about them.
- They can weigh up to 200 tons. That's about 8 DC-9 aircraft's or 15 school buses.
- In fact, their tongue alone weigh about 4 tons as much as an elephant. About 100 people can fit in a blue whale's mouth.
- A blue whale heart is the size of a Mini Cooper and can weigh close to 2,000 pounds (~907 kg). Its heartbeat can be detected from two miles away and a human can easily crawl through its major arteries.
- Blue whales can produce sounds louder than a jet engine (188 dB vs. jet engine's 140 dB) and can communicate with other whales up to 1,000 miles away.
- A single adult eats about 4 tons of krill (tiny shrimplike animals) a day.
- The spray from a blue whale's blowhole is almost as tall as a three-story building (30 feet or 9 m). A toddler can fit into its blowhole.
- The average length of a blue whale is 70 to 85 feet but they have been known to reach lengths of 100 feet (30 m). Lengthwise that's the equivalent of two city buses and longer than an NBA basketball court.
- The average lifespan of a blue whale is 60 to 70 years although according to various sources it is reported as low as 40 years and as high as 110 years.
- Blue whales can swim at speeds up to 30 miles per hour.
- The blue whale has a blowhole on the top of its head to breathe through.
- Blue whales do sleep usually in the middle of the day.
- The whale hears through sound waves traveling through the water.
- Female whales are pregnant for about twelve months.
- Females give birth to one calf every two to three years.
- A newborn calf weighs about three tons when it is born and averages approximately twenty-five feet in length.
- The blue whale is the loudest animal in the world.
- The population of blue whales is dangerously low with only an estimated 1300 to 2000 left.
- The female whales are longer than the males.
- The largest blue whale ever recorded was an adult female measuring 108 feet. (Some sources say 106 feet.)
- The blue whale is currently an endangered species.
- The arteries of a blue whale are as big as drain pipes. It is estimated that they are large enough for a medium sized dog or even perhaps a small human to crawl through them.
- The mouth of a blue whale is big enough to park a car in it.
- The blue whale is also known as a sulfur-bottom whale.
- Blue whales usually travel alone or in pairs.

Largest insects that ever lived
The largest insects that ever lived are members of the extinct dragonfly-like order Protodonata, which means “early dragonfly.” The name “griffinfly” has been proposed for members of this order because important differences distinguish them from modern-day dragonflies. Protodonata’s fossil record ranges from the Late Carboniferous to the Late Permian periods of the Paleozoic era. This was about 300 million years ago, before the dinosaurs, which evolved during the Mesozoic era.
The largest known species is the Late Permian Meganeuropsis permiana, with wingspans longer than 75 cm (30 in. or 2.5 ft) and an estimated weight of over 450 g (1 lb.), similar to a crow. This is larger than any insect that has ever lived, land- or air-based – the heaviest insect today is the larval stage of the Goliath Beetle, with a top weight of 115 g (4.1 oz). As the Late Carboniferous Meganeura is a species of similar size to Meganeuropsis and is much better known, the information in this article will primarily focus on Meganeura.

The Mysterious Leh Magnetic Hill
Nestled between the Great Himalayas and Karakoramh mountains, Leh Magnetic Hill apparently has magnetic properties capable of pulling vehicles uphill.
Located just 30 km from the city of Leh, the Magnetic Hill is quite a popular tourist attraction in India. Travelers from all over the world are drawn here by its mysterious magnetic powers. There is a marked line on the road going up the hill, where drivers are instructed to put their cars in neutral and sit back as they get pulled up at speeds over 20 km/h.

Single biggest charge to a credit card in the history
In 2009, Josh Muszynski of New Hampshire made the single biggest charge to a credit card in the history of the world. How much? $23,148,855,308,184,500 (let's just say $23 quadrillion). What did he buy? A pack of cigarettes at a BP station. The charge was the result of a computer glitch by Visa, which took the charge off his account. They also refunded his $15 overdraft fee.

McDonald's fries are made with beef extract
This isn't even something they're trying to hide. The nutrition facts for the fries mention that they have a "natural beef flavor". Strangely enough, the fries also contain wheat and milk.
This was actually the subject of some controversy in 2001. A class action suit was filed against McDonald's for causing emotional distress to vegetarians who mistakenly ate the fries without knowing that they contain beef.

Un-Hygienic Data on the London Underground
During Autumn of 2000, a team of scientists at the Department of Forensics at University College London removed a row of passenger seats from a Central Line tube carriage for analysis into cleanliness. Despite London Underground's claim that the interior of their trains are cleaned on a regular basis, the scientists made some alarming discoveries:
This is what was found on the surface of the seats:
* 4 types of hair sample (human, mouse, rat, dog)
* 7 types of insect (mostly fleas, mostly alive)
* vomit originating from at least 9 separate people
* human urine originating from at least 4 separate people
* human excrement
* rodent excrement
* human semen
When the seats were taken apart, they found:
* the remains of 6 mice
* the remains of 2 large rats
* 1 previously unheard of fungus

Lucky man
In 1989, a guy named Donald Scheer paid $4 for an old painting at a flea market in Adamstown, PA. Later, while removing the painting from the frame, he found a copy of the US Declaration of Independence tucked in between them. It turned out to be an original printing, of which there were only 24 in existence. He sold it for $2.42 million.

Indonesians seek cure from 'track therapy'
People suffering from illnesses in Indonesia's capital Jakarta have started treating themselves with a highly unusual - and potentially deadly - form of 'therapy'.
They claim that lying on train tracks allows an electric flow to pass through their bodies, curing their ailments.
But the authorities have repeatedly urged them not to do it, warning them of the risks.

Hypnotizing rain
Did You Know? that rain has the ability to hypnotize people to his memory the resonance of the past. And without being able to get the scientific evidence, scientists could only conclude “In the rain, there are songs that can only be heard by those who miss”.And at this point, scientists believed that humans usually get inspiration.

THE SAILING STONES
THE SAILING STONES , also referred to as sliding rocks or moving rocks, are a geological puzzling phenomenon found in California, Death Valley. These rocks, some as heavy as 300 Kilograms, are mysteriously transported across a virtually flat desert plain without human or animal intervention, leaving erratic trails in the hard mud behind them, some hundreds of yards long. They move by some mysterious force, and in the nine decades since we have known about them, no-one has ever seen them in motion.

Clockwise staircases
Spiral staircases in medieval castles are running clockwise. This is because all knights used to be
right-handed. When the intruding army would climb the stairs they would not be able to use their right hand which was holding the sword because of the difficulties of climbing the stairs. Left-handed knights would have had no troubles, except left-handed people could never become knights because it was assumed that they were descendants of the devil.

Theory of Relativity
According to Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity, it is possible to go slower than light and faster than
light, but it is impossible to go the speed of light. Also, there is a particle called tackyon, which is supposed to go faster than light. This means if you fire a tackyon beam, it travels before you fire it.

Left-hand side driving
Until 1965, driving was done on the left-hand side on roads in Sweden. The conversion to right-hand was done on a weekday at 5pm. All traffic stopped as people switched sides. This time and day were chosen to prevent accidents where drivers would have gotten up in the morning and been too sleepy to realize that this was the day of the changeover.

The largest known black hole has a mass of 18 billion Suns!
Located 3.5 billion light years away, this black hole is SO massive that it weighs six times as much as the previous record-holder and is contains about the same mass as a small galaxy! The gravitational field of the giant is so strong that it actually causes a smaller black hole with the mass of 100 million Suns to orbit it! At two points in every 12-year orbit, the smaller hole gets close enough to break through the matter on the outer edge of the larger hole, which causes an outburst that makes the surrounding quasar suddenly brighten. A quasar is a bright celestial object into which matter entering a black hole emits large amounts of radiation.

Average human grow 591 miles of hair
During your lifetime, the average human will grow 591 miles of hair. Unverified But hair does grows about 6 inches per year and the average head has 100,000 hairs. Take an average lifespan of 80 years. 6 x 100,000 x 80 = 48,000,000. Unfortunately hair growth is not uniform through out your lifespan, I have yet to find a formula for this.
